Later cars are not known for earth lead problems (yet) so you will need to get it fault code read. Unless you have lost a lot of fluid (look under for oil leak) its not going to be a fluid problem at those miles. I had similar with the normal driving light going out when fault occurred and when the fault disappeared the symbol for normal driving was once again illuminated. When you say 'refused to change the 4 wheel drive options' was the light for this still on or not.

I have read various comments about this being a software update does anyone know if it could be so simple or is it likely to be the haldex pump?ДЄlso the warning does not stay on all the time I went to Tesco (2 miles) last night the warning was not on for about a mile then it appeared I went into Tesco about 10 mins came out and the same thing happened fault gone until about 1 mile into journey. Might as well check the voltage on yours. It is also responsible for powering the gearshifter when you switch off in D or R, so that the dial can rotate itself back to P. The Auxiliary Battery & Module provide backup power to the Gearshift Module, so as not to lose vital settings during heavy drain on the main battery such as cold starting. Once those are out, look up behind the glovebox and you will see the Auxiliary Battery & Module (Next to your fusebox, but you can't really see the unit from the fusebox window in the glovebox). Remove the footwell cover (a grey carpet piece, and another dark plastic piece that pull out. The only way to get to it is from below via the footwell. The Auxiliary Battery sits with its module, behind your glovebox. Where exactly is the auxiliary battery and what does it do? My ВЈ600 was only the part! add ВЈ500 for new batt and labour! So i play this game all day so as not to see the yellow triangle and the warning. Have they told you which module? The gearshifter itself is one module, and it connects to another module on the gearbox that actuates your gear selection.
